Job Details

• Position Type: Respiratory Therapist Registered, Pediatric specialization
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in respiratory therapy, relevant licensing, minimum of 1 year of experience, and ability to work in the specified location.
• Additional Job Responsibilities:
  • Provides intensive respiratory care and patient transport within scope of licensure.
  • Explains procedures and provides education to patients and families upon discharge.
  • Operates various ventilatory, oxygen, aerosol, and nebulizer devices to deliver prescribed treatments.
  • Performs chest physiotherapy, suctioning, and conducts routine chest x-ray reviews.
  • Performs Pulmonary Function Studies, arterial punctures, and assists with procedures such as bronchoscopy and chest tube placement.
  • Maintains equipment, assures proper documentation, and communicates treatment responses with physicians.
  • Performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to BLS and ACLS guidelines.
  • Performs insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes, operates ventilatory equipment, and conducts quality control tasks.
  • Completes comprehensive documentation of treatments, patient responses, and equipment maintenance.
  • Complies with all policies regarding laboratory testing and safety protocols.
  • Performs tracheostomy care, including insertion and removal of tubes.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in pediatric respiratory care and proficiency with advanced respiratory equipment is desirable.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must submit appropriate licensure and certification documentation upon application.
