Job Summary
Speech Language Pathologist (Inpatient) Location unspecified. This role involves providing speech therapy services across Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) and Home Health settings in the surrounding areas. The position requires administering therapeutic interventions, assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, and documenting services while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and standards.

Job Details

• Position Description: Administers and performs therapeutic interventions with clients. Assesses clients' needs and develops plans for therapy that meet identified needs. Safeguards clients' property. Provides clients with opportunities for independence and choice consistent with client plan of care. Maintains clients' self-esteem, privacy, and confidentiality of personal information. Assists in keeping clients' living areas pleasant and orderly. Documents observations and services provided. Notifies physicians of changes and provides direct consultation with physician and/or interdisciplinary team members. Receives and shares information. Trains clients, family members, and staff on interventions and equipment. May utilize and supervise therapy assistants as outlined by Federal and State regulations and documents appropriately in the clinical record. Utilizes appropriate bag techniques and standard precautions. Follows infection control and safety standards when using equipment.
• Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited speech/language pathology program preferred. Prior work experience in a rehabilitation/geriatrics setting preferred. Certification for the state of practice. Basic speech/language pathology skills. Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: This position will be held accountable for complying with all related laws, regulations, company policies, and procedures pertaining to this role. Responsibilities include supervising therapy assistants, utilizing appropriate safety standards, and documenting clinical activities. The role involves travel between Skilled Nursing Facilities and Home Health settings, with some minimal Home Health duties. Mileage and drive time are billable, and the position is expected to start as soon as possible, with an expected end date of 01/11/2027.
