Job Summary
Inpatient Speech Language Pathologist (SLP IN Patient) position based in an healthcare facility. This role involves evaluating assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying comprehensive treatment plans in accordance with physician directives. The position emphasizes safety, compliance, and interdisciplinary collaboration to facilitate patient discharge and recovery.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist; Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association; BLS Certification; One or more years of clinical experience.
• Specialty: Speech Language Pathologist Inpatient (SLP IP)
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Complete comprehensive evaluation and develop appropriate treatment plans utilizing clinical reasoning focused on patient progress.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and address barriers to discharge, including equipment trials, family training, and planning for ongoing services.
• Manage individual and group treatment sessions based on patient needs.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation including daily notes, goal setting, discharge planning, and charge entry, in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Ensure all care is provided under signed physician orders and within insurance guidelines.
• Participate in student program as assigned, providing supervision and feedback to support learning.
• Maintain professional licensure in good standing and pursue ongoing professional development through continuing education and involvement in professional organizations.
• The position requires adherence to all safety and organizational policies, including infectious and workplace safety protocols.
• Demonstrate flexibility in caseload management and active engagement in quality improvement initiatives.
• Follow all organizational and regulatory standards in delivering safe, effective patient care.
