Job Summary
Physical Therapist Outpatient (PT OP) Sangerville, ME. This outpatient position offers the opportunity to provide rehabilitative services to adult and school-aged patients in a primary care clinic setting. The role involves delivering outpatient physical therapy, including evaluations and treatments, with a focus on post-orthopedic, post-spinal surgeries, geriatrics, work injuries, and neurological imbalance cases.

Job Details

• Location: Sangerville, ME
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am 4:30 pm
• Qualifications: Bachelors degree or higher in Physical Therapy, ME State Licensure, BLS certification, outpatient experience, manual therapy, exercise science, patient education, adaptive equipment training
• Years of Experience: 0 years minimum required, with at least 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience preferred
• Patient Types and Diagnoses: Mostly adults and school-aged children with non-pediatric development diagnoses, including post-orthopedic, post-spinal surgeries, geriatrics, work injuries, and neurological imbalance
• Patient Volume: Approximately 8-10 patients per day, with 60-minute evaluation bookings and 45-minute treatment sessions
• Support: Two PTs in the department, one PTA serving as supervisor, rehab office coordinator for scheduling
• Technology: EMR system using Cerner, potential floating to Dean Hospital about 30 minutes away for outpatient or inpatient needs
• Orientation: 2-3 days of departmental orientation, dependent on skill set and comfort
• Certifications Required: ME State Licensure, BLS certification
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Notes: Casual, professional scrubs; free parking; no weekend or holiday shifts except scheduled holidays when the department is closed; approved RTO by manager; no call required.
