Job Summary
MRI Technologist in the Radiology department is responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures in a hospital setting. The role involves supporting high-quality imaging services for a diverse patient population, including trauma and maternity cases, utilizing advanced Siemens MRI equipment. This position requires flexibility to cover rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, to ensure 24/7 patient care coverage.

Job Details

• Position Description: MRI Technologist supporting the Radiology department with diverse MRI procedures including cardiac, breast, and angio studies, using Siemens Aera 1.5T, Trio 3T, and Espree 1.5T scanners. This role involves performing approximately 35-40 scans daily, with responsibilities such as start IVs and operating advanced imaging equipment.
• Required Qualifications: BLS (AHA), Certified MRI Technologist - ARRT (MR), minimum of 2 years of experience, ARRT certification, valid drivers license, ability to start IVs, and minimum one year of related work experience. Minimum education includes certification as a licensed MRI technologist.
• Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, days vary, rotating schedule, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The shift hours are from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., including every other Thursday call, and weekend shifts.
• Additional Information: Orientation includes one week of training; schedule is flexible to accommodate 24/7 coverage needs. The department operates with in-house radiologist coverage during the day and resident radiologists at night. No radiology assistants are used, and scrubs are not provided; gray scrubs must be worn. Cancelation policies allow up to four shifts cancelation per 13-week assignment.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must confirm eligibility based on the radius rule (50 miles), drivers license, and relevant certifications prior to submission.
