Job Summary
Inpatient Physical Therapist specializing in pediatric and adult rehabilitation services within a healthcare facility. The role involves evaluating and treating patients across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and community-based care, with a focus on physical and developmental disorders. The position requires flexibility to float between departments or locations within 20 miles.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; New Mexico PT License; BLS certification through the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross; at least one year of pediatric physical therapy experience if working in pediatrics; inpatient and outpatient experience; minimum of two years current experience in the specialty; schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour days, minimum 40 hours per week; float: Float rotation may be required.
• Demonstrates detailed knowledge of physical therapy, including therapeutic interventions, data interpretation, growth and development principles, and comprehensive patient evaluation.
• Works with patients from birth to 18 years old, addressing motor development, strength, range of motion, endurance, balance, coordination, gait, and other functional areas.
• Coordinates and communicates with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate patient care and discharge planning.
• Promotes patient and caregiver self-determination and advocates for patient needs.
• Settings include inpatient emergency departments and inpatient units; further responsibilities include supervising and ensuring a comprehensive rehabilitation program tailored to individual patient needs.
• Must be team-oriented, flexible in a fast-paced environment, and capable of adapting to the demands of the clinical setting.
• Additional Skills: EPIC experience (training available), patient care, patient advocacy, motor development, physical examination, movement disorder, inpatient experience, outpatient experience, team player, flexible, fast-paced environment.
• Education: Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy; Doctorate preferred.
• Licensure & Certifications: Must hold a New Mexico PT License; BLS certification required.
