Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist (RT PEDS) The healthcare provider is seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist specializing in pediatric care for a position at the location specified. This role involves delivering high-quality respiratory care, including invasive and non-invasive ventilation, chest physiotherapy, and associated procedures, in accordance with licensed scope and physician prescriptions. The RT PEDS will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and educate patients and families upon discharge.

Job Details

• Position Description: Provides intensive respiratory care, patient transport within the facility, and evaluation of patient needs to recommend appropriate treatment plans. Explains treatment procedures, conducts physician-prescribed treatments using ventilatory equipment, and monitors patient response. Performs chest physiotherapy, suctioning, oximetry, capnography, pulmonary function studies, and assists with procedures such as bronchoscopy and chest tube placement.
• Required Qualifications: Respiratory Therapist registration, valid license, and relevant certifications in cardiopulmonary care; high school diploma or equivalent; ability to work days shifts; minimum 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy.
• Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Performs routine chest X-ray reviews, arterial puncture, tracheostomy care, endotracheal tube management, and ventilator operation. Maintains accurate records, communicates with physicians, and ensures proper equipment maintenance. Performs CPR according to BLS and ACLS guidelines. Assists with laboratory testing and ensures compliance with all policies.
