Job Summary
Polysomnographer in the specialty of sleep medicine is sought for a position at the healthcare organization. This role involves conducting sleep studies and screenings, with responsibilities that include monitoring and analyzing sleep patterns, and ensuring accurate data collection for diagnostic purposes. The position requires working night shifts with the potential to float between units as needed.

Job Details

  • Position: Polysomnographer in sleep medicine
  • Location: The organization
  • Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: BLS, RPSGT, or Polysomnography License; at least 1 year of relevant experience; valid state license (Compact license required in some cases).
  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
  • Additional Unit/Operational Details: Conduct sleep studies such as polysomnography and sleep testing involving specialized equipment including sleep monitors, CPAP, BiPAP, and ECG; monitor for respiratory and cardiac abnormalities; provide patient education; manage sleep equipment like nasal masks and oxygen administration.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, Adult Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), and scoring of PSG; community hospital experience; familiarity with Epic charting system.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must have or be in the process of obtaining licensure in Oregon, with fingerprinting and exam requirements, and be available to work a weekend schedule including Friday nights extending into Saturday morning.
  • Submission Requirements: Must include responses to specified questions regarding prior experience at Providence facilities, two recent references covering one year within the last three years, and confirmation of licensure status.
