Job Summary
Ultrasonographer Echo (Specialty: Ultrasonographer Echo) in the radiology department is responsible for performing general ultrasound procedures, including vascular and obstetric scans across all three trimesters. The role involves contributing to the imaging team by conducting approximately 10-15 scans per day, utilizing multiple ultrasound units, and floating between Ultrasound and Echocardiography as needed.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: ARDMS certification, BLS (AHA), and Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echocardiography (RDCS-AE) via ARDMS are required. Candidates must have at least 2 years of current experience in general ultrasound, obstetric, and vascular imaging.
• Schedule: Friday through Sunday, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Monday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with on-call duties after 9:00 p.m. and on weekends.
• Responsibilities: Performing all ultrasound duties including vascular, obstetric, and procedures with an average of 10-15 scans daily. The role requires floating between ultrasound and echocardiography departments, with the possibility of floating within zone 4 during extreme need.
• Additional Information: The department is equipped with four Toshiba ultrasound units, with plans to acquire two new Phillips units. The radiology team includes in-house radiologists three days weekly. The position requires adherence to department protocols, including on-call duties, with specific emphasis on remote orientation and credentialing.
