Job Details

• Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited physical therapy program; licensure to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Schedule: Rotating shift; 10 hours per day; minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate new patients, establish treatment goals, and develop appropriate treatment programs.
  • Conduct diagnostic muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability tests to determine impairment levels and prognosis.
  • Administer and assess treatment modalities, adjusting plans based on patient progress.
  • Document patient care objectively, including education and communication with other healthcare providers.
  • Provide instruction in therapeutic procedures to patients and families for ongoing care.
  • Participate in training new personnel as requested.
  • Assist in supervising Physical Therapist Assistants, Aides, and affiliating students.
  • Maintain compliance with departmental policies, safety standards, and quality improvement programs.
  • Attend meetings and participate in continuous professional development.
  • Maintain daily statistical records of patient activity and charges.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

• Additional Information: The position requires evaluation of new patients, treatment planning, documentation of patient care, patient and family education, and effective communication with the healthcare team.
