The organization is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist specializing in nuclear medicine procedures in Cooperstown, NY. This position involves operating advanced imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety, and effectively communicating with patients and radiologists.
Job Details
- Position: Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Specialty: Nuclear Medicine (NUC) Location: Cooperstown, NY
- Required Qualifications: 1-2 years of PET/CT experience, ARRT (N) and ARRT (CT) certifications or NMTCB credentials, RN license in NY, BLS certification.
- Schedule: Days shift; 10 hours per shift; minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications and radiation safety. Produces high-quality diagnostic images, communicates effectively with patients and radiologists, and troubleshoots imaging equipment such as monitors, PACS, coils, and scanner components. Experience with GE Discovery IQ equipment is required. Ability to train new technologists and radiology personnel.
