Job Summary
Speech Language Pathologist Inpatient (SLP IP) Lewiston, ME. This position involves providing specialized speech-language pathology services in an inpatient setting at a facility serving adult and geriatric patients. The role includes assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of swallowing, cognition, language, and voice disorders, with a focus on acute care and critical care environments.
Job Details
- Certifications and Qualifications: Licensed CCC-SLP in Maine, BLS certification, MA or MS in Speech-Language Pathology, 1 year of experience required.
- Schedule: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; 40 hours per week, Sunday through Thursday.
- Responsibilities: Conduct swallow, cognition, language, voice assessments; perform modified barium swallow studies; collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Additional Information: May need to cover acute rehab intermittently. Understanding of acute care/critical care settings, modified barium swallow studies, and the ability to work cohesively with the team are essential.
