Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) South Austin Medical Center. This position entails providing respiratory therapy services within a pediatric-focused unit, primarily during night shifts. The role requires ensuring quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, supporting the units specialized needs.
Job Details
- Certifications: RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist), Texas licensing preferred
- Education: Not specified
- Location: South Austin Medical Center, 1st floor of the main building
- Staffing: Two positions available, with a schedule of 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 10/12/2026 and ending on 01/11/2027
- Required Experience: 0 years minimum, but candidates with NICU experience and at least one year of adult respiratory therapy experience are preferred
- Responsibilities include providing respiratory care using equipment such as Servo, Hamilton, and Airvo, and supporting procedures on a pediatric unit with patient ratios of 35-45 UOS
- Schedule details: Night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with no call required
- Additional responsibilities: Supporting unit policies and maintaining a team-oriented environment
