Job Summary:
Mammographer, in the field of radiologic and breast imaging, located at the healthcare facility. This position involves performing routine mammography diagnostic and screening procedures, including patient assessments, preparation, and administration of contrast media and medications. The role also encompasses instruction in self-breast examination and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.

Job Details:

• Offshore mammography procedures primarily involving routine diagnostic and screening imaging.
• Required Qualifications: Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program; registered by the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible with the intent to become registered within one (1) year from hire date; must maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include ensuring a safe procedure environment, troubleshooting equipment issues, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, documenting incidents and procedures, verifying patient information and orders, guiding patient understanding and consent, performing and assisting with radiographic procedures, and precepting new employees and students.
• Utilizes technical knowledge to operate imaging equipment, critique images, transmit QA-ed images to PACS, and document procedures accurately.
• Assesses patient condition and needs, develops action plans, and provides education on self-breast examination.
• Evaluates requests, verifies patient identity, and ensures all procedural and safety protocols are followed.
• Performs and assists with radiographic procedures, ensuring quality and safety, and reports equipment issues as needed.
