Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Ottumwa, IA. This position involves providing respiratory care to a diverse patient population, including neonates, pediatrics, and adults, in a regional healthcare facility. The role requires the application of advanced assessment skills, treatments, and therapies within a high-acuity environment.

Job Details

Certifications: NBRC: CRT or RRT, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Iowa SING background check; mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult); drug screening including a 10-panel test with opiates; criminal and child abuse background checks; must have Iowa licensing.
Education Requirements: Associated Degree in Respiratory Care.
Location Requirements: Candidates must be at least 60 miles from the facility.
Experience Requirements: 0-2 years of relevant respiratory therapy experience.
Schedule: Night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Responsibilities: Conduct patient assessments, implement treatments and therapies, attend to high-risk deliveries, manage invasive and non-invasive equipment, and demonstrate high critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Pediatrics and Neonatal patients.
Responsibilities include providing respiratory care to a geriatric, adult, pediatric, and neonatal population, utilizing equipment such as V-60/VOCSN, Vapotherm, and Airvo2.
Submission Requirements: Complete application with certifications and background checks prior to start date.
