Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer Fetal Medicine, Martinsburg, WV
This position involves performing obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound scans, including high-risk assessments such as nuchal translucency and growth evaluations. The sonographer will work independently within a dedicated radiology department, utilizing advanced systems and equipment to support maternal and fetal health care needs.
Job Details
- Position Type: Radiology - Sonographer
- Location: Martinsburg, WV
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: BLS (AHA), Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer OB/GYN (RDMS-OB/GYN) via ARDMS; 1+ years of experience performing OB/GYN scans, including high-risk assessments; knowledge of systems such as EPIC and Viewpoint.
- Responsible for performing 8-10 ultrasound scans daily, including BPP, growth, and dating studies, primarily in obstetrics and gynecology, with expertise in nuchal translucency and MFM experience preferred.
- Must have strong OB/GYN skills and capable of working independently.
- Department uses GE equipment and maintains departmental workflows with orientation provided to full-time techs.
- No weekends, holidays, or call requirements.
- No in-house radiologist or radiology assistants are available, and the sonographer will not need to start IVs.
- Knowledge of the clinical workflow and experience with EPIC and Viewpoint PACS is essential.
