Job Summary
Physical Therapist (PT) Inpatient Outpatient, located within a healthcare facility. This position involves providing outpatient physical therapy services to adult and school-aged patients, primarily focusing on post-orthopedic, post-spinal surgeries, geriatrics, work injuries, and neurological imbalances. The role includes assessments, treatments, and patient education, with occasional inpatient coverage as needed.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Therapy, ME State Licensure, BLS certification, outpatient experience, manual therapy, exercise science, and providing education on adaptive equipment. 1 year minimum outpatient PT experience required.
• Schedule: Rotating shift with hours from 0800-1630, Monday through Friday, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Position Responsibilities: Deliver outpatient physical therapy services, including evaluations, treatments, and patient education for adult and school-aged patients. Handle post-orthopedic, post-spinal surgeries, geriatric, work injury, and neurological balance cases. Support within the department and occasional inpatient coverage in a nearby location may be required.
• Additional Information: Outpatient PT is located within the healthcare facility. The department is staffed with three physical therapists, and orientation typically lasts 2-3 days based on skillset. Weekend rotations are not required, and no call duties are scheduled. The department observes six major holidays, but coverage may be needed on others. Proper attire includes business casual or scrubs, with free parking available.
