Job Summary
Nuclear Medicine Technologist in the NUC specialty located in a healthcare facility. The position supports diagnostic and therapeutic services within the department, contributing to optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Certifications and Qualifications: Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic/Nuclear Medicine Technology program; national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Nuclear Board and/or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or equivalent; licensure by the state regulatory agency if applicable; BLS certification required; clinical knowledge typically achieved with 2 years of experience; no minimum years of experience required.
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Performs nuclear medicine procedures following department policies and protocols; educates patients and families regarding procedures and treatments; produces high-quality images and prepares documentation for interpretation; demonstrates competence in procedures involving radiopharmaceuticals and ensures equipment quality control; maintains a safe environment adhering to ALARA principles; performs procedures ethically, maintains confidentiality, and ensures department workflow efficiency.
• Additional Information: May direct activities of students and support staff; may perform invasive/interventional procedures in accordance with policies; demonstrates effective communication skills; adheres to regulatory and professional standards; works in a direct patient care environment, requiring physical agility, proper body mechanics, and appropriate use of personal protective equipment.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must be prepared to rotate on call and weekend shifts, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
