Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) located in Miami, FL is responsible for providing advanced respiratory care to pediatric and adult patients within a high-acuity hospital environment. This role involves utilizing specialized equipment and procedures to evaluate and treat patients with respiratory conditions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through a multidisciplinary approach.

Job Details

Position Description:
The Respiratory Therapist provides treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory diseases utilizing advanced technologies, medication delivery, and specialized equipment such as High Flow Devices, 3100A, Bunnell, Servo s, continuous nebulizers, Nitric Oxide, Heliox, and regular nebulizers.
Required Qualifications:
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). A minimum of 2 years of current acute care hospital Respiratory Therapist (RT) experience.
Schedule:
Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Information:
Candidates with previous Meditech experience and current NICU/PICU experience are preferred. Flexibility to provide coverage on regular adult floors for nebulizer therapy, BIPAP, CPT, and other respiratory services may be required. The ideal candidate demonstrates a team-oriented, patient care focus, adaptability, and critical thinking capabilities.
