Job Summary
Physical Therapist Inpatient (PT IP) The healthcare provider is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to join their inpatient rehabilitation team. The role involves providing specialized therapy services to adult patients with spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, or similar presentations, utilizing various adaptive and assistive devices. The position offers an opportunity for local candidates or first-time travelers to contribute to patient recovery efforts in a dynamic healthcare setting.
Job Details
- Qualifications: Active MD or Compact State License, BLS certification, and CPI certification required; 1 year of experience preferred.
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Deliver inpatient physical therapy services to adult and geriatric patients with complex neurological conditions, including spinal cord injuries and disorders. Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts, overhead lifts, and body weight supported devices. Perform assessments, develop and implement Plan of Care, and provide patient and family education. Conduct evaluations, gait training, and manage skin integrity and safety measures.
- Additional Information: Must be comfortable floating within scope. No on-call responsibilities. One weekend per month scheduled as part of the commitment. Candidate must adhere to compliance and onboarding requirements, including labs within 72 hours of signing and submission of documentation 5 days prior to start.
