Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Dietitian specializing in pediatric and adult nutrition at a healthcare facility. This role involves developing and implementing medical nutrition therapy plans for complex inpatient populations, including those with GI complications, post-trauma, and transfer patients. The position offers a consistent schedule Monday through Friday with diverse clinical responsibilities.
Job Details
- Position: Dietitian - Pediatrics and/or Adult Nutrition
- Location: Healthcare facility
- Schedule: Days; 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Certifications & Education: Active MD Dietitian licensure; registration with the American Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics; Minimum of a Masters degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field; Successful passing of the CDR exam; Completion of required coursework, Dietetic Internship, and relevant licensure
- Experience: 2 years of experience in a clinical nutrition setting, with peds experience preferred; 1+ years post-licensure experience considered a minimum
- Patient Population: Complex inpatient and outpatient populations including pediatric, infant, and adult patients with GI complications, TPN needs, short gut syndrome, post-trauma stabilization, and transferred patients on tube feeds
- Responsibilities: Assess patients nutritional status, develop personalized medical nutrition therapy care plans, provide nutrition education, document in electronic medical records, communicate with interdisciplinary teams, participate in medical rounds, and coordinate patient care plans
- Additional Information: Coverage includes outpatient programs like feeding and nutrition clinics, inpatient nutritional support, and specialized patient populations. Willingness to float within scope is required.
- Holidays & On-Call: Holidays as scheduled; no on-call responsibilities.
