The Ultrasonographer Echo at the location specializes in echocardiography within the specialty of ultrasonography. This role involves conducting echocardiography procedures for adult and pediatric patients, participating in educational and training activities, and ensuring proper documentation and inventory management. The position requires rotating on-call duties and weekend coverage to support the healthcare providers cardiac imaging services.
Job Details
- Position Description: Conducts echocardiography procedures, including transthoracic pediatric echo, adult TEE/TTE, bubble studies, contrast, TEE probe manipulation, and intra-cardiac structural assessments. Responsible for charting, filing, inventory management, and participating in performance improvement initiatives.
- Required Qualifications: Certified as ARSMS-RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography) and RCS (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) credential at the time of submission. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in adult and pediatric echocardiography. The role is based in the location specified and involves working days, with a start time dependent on experienceeither 0700, 0730, or 0800.
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, with rotating weekend and weeknight on-call coverage (1630-0700 for weeknights, and 0700-0700 for Saturdays and Sundays).
- Additional Information: The role is crucial in performing echocardiography procedures, ensuring correct protocol adherence, and maintaining high standards in imaging quality. Candidates must have BLS certification; ACLS and PALS certifications are preferred. Scrubs required are charcoal grey without joggers. The work involves utilizing Epic and Charge Healthcare Cardiology electronic medical records systems.
