Description
Job Summary
Occupational Therapist Inpatient in a healthcare organization. This position focuses on providing direct and indirect patient services, including evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients according to physician orders and current standards of practice. The role involves educating patients and caregivers, supervising staff, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Job Details
- Schedule: 5-8 hour days, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Weekends as needed with advanced notice.
- Required Qualifications: Masters degree in occupational therapy obtained from an accredited program, current license in the practicing state, Occupational Therapist License, and BLS certification. One (1) year of experience required.
- Additional Qualifications: Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy preferred, previous inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred, Epic EMR experience preferred, QI credentialing preferred.
- Skills & Experience: Ability to assess and evaluate patients, diagnosing, developing, and implementing treatment plans; excellent communication skills for writing chart notes, evaluations, and discharge summaries; and competency in patient education and team collaboration.
- Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, providing interventions, documenting activities and progress, supervising staff and students, and participating in clinical meetings.
- Physical Requirements: Hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, sitting, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, walking.
