Job Summary
Mammographer (Location) This role involves performing high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography examinations in accordance with established standards and protocols. The position requires providing safe, compassionate, patient-centered care while ensuring accurate imaging and documentation. The assignment offers an opportunity to work independently within a collaborative Diagnostic Imaging team at a healthcare facility.

Job Details

• Position Type: Travel / Contract
• Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week during non-holiday weeks
• Call: No call required
• Holiday Schedule: Department is closed on designated holidays; hours are not guaranteed for holiday closures.
• Key Responsibilities:
  Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography examinations according to established standards and protocols.
  Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care.
  Ensure proper patient positioning and image quality.
  Maintain thorough documentation and imaging records.
  Follow applicable mammography quality assurance and quality control standards.
  Assist with maintaining FDA and ACR documentation when qualified.
  Collaborate with radiologists, providers, and team members.
  Complete all documentation accurately and promptly.
  Cross-train to perform DEXA examinations using the GE iDXA system.
  Adhere to hospital, departmental, infection prevention, and patient safety policies.
• Required Qualifications:
  Current ARRT certification appropriate for mammography practice.
  Meets applicable MQSA requirements to perform mammography.
  Current BLS certification, if required by credentialing standards.
  Demonstrated mammography competency.
  Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively.
  Strong attention to image quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  Experience using the Hologic Selenia Dimensions 3D Mammography system.
  Experience with mammography quality assurance processes.
  Experience maintaining FDA and ACR mammography records.
  DEXA experience.
  Previous rural hospital or travel assignment experience.
• Additional Information:
  This assignment is suitable for an experienced Mammography Technologist who can quickly adapt and independently perform examinations. Training will be provided for DEXA procedures using GE iDXA. The department is closed on designated holidays, and hours are not guaranteed during holiday closures.
