Job Summary
Polysomnographer in a POLY (Polysomnography) specialty role located in a healthcare outpatient department. This position involves performing diagnostic sleep testing, including PAP therapy titration, patient check-in, setup, charting, and equipment cleaning. The role requires collaboration within a team during scheduled shifts and working in a secure, outpatient environment.

Job Details

• Position Description: Perform diagnostic sleep testing, including PAP therapy titration, patient check-in, setup, charting, and cleaning equipment using computerized charting systems such as Natus XLTech Sleep Works and ResMed S9 Devices.
• Certifications and Experience: BLS Certification; minimum of 1 year experience in sleep technology, with trained sleep tech.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, three nights a week, Sunday to Thursday, not always consecutive, may include split shifts.
• Other Requirements: Must badge in and out at the facility. All procedures are performed within the sleep lab, which includes a 10-bed setup, with patient-to-tech ratios requiring 2:1 unless caring for children under three years old, in which case it is 1:1.
• Training: Modified electronic medical record training, with one shift of orientation with another sleep technician.
• Additional Information: Located in an outpatient clinic setting with secured entrance, no cafeteria, flat parking lot outside, and limited scoring during data collection. No floating requirement.
