Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Ultrasound Technologist specialized in Echocardiography (ULTRA ECHO) in an acute care setting. The role involves performing adult echocardiograms including Definity and Agitated Saline, with some pediatric experience preferred. The technician will work in a fast-paced, high-volume echo department, conducting both inpatient and outpatient studies, with responsibilities that may include TEE, Exercise Stress, and Dobutamine Stress Echo procedures.

Job Details

• Location: The position is based in an acute care facility.
• Schedule: Day shift varies with rotating on-call responsibilities, including weekends and holidays; shifts are 8 hours with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: ARDCS or RCS certification, valid North Dakota State License, BLS (AHA) certification, minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric experience, ARDCS or RCS certification.
• Additional Information:
  • Types of procedures required include adult echo studies with Definity and Agitated Saline.
  • Work involves using Philips brand echo machinesEPIC 7, IE33, CX50and reporting with EPIC, CUPID, TOM TECH, and PACS.
  • The department includes 6 Echo Machines and 3 rooms; most hospital patients are imaged bedside.
  • Candidate must badge in and out at the facility, and must have experience in adult echo procedures, with pediatric experience considered a plus.
  • The department operates Monday to Sunday with shifts including days, evenings, and rotating weekends; on-call duties are included.
  • Floating to other units may be required.
