Job Summary
Occupational Therapist SNF in Massachusetts. This position involves providing rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with cognitive and activities of daily living (ADL) physical functioning disorders within a skilled nursing facility setting. The role requires effective patient evaluation, development of personalized care plans, and collaboration with the healthcare team to support optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Position Description: Effectively screens and evaluates patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders, developing appropriate care plans that follow all regulatory and clinical practice standards. Utilizes standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions. Provides rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment to address cognitive and physical functioning disorders. Administers procedures such as ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include OT license; Education requirements include a degree in occupational therapy; Location in Massachusetts; Zero years of experience required, but a minimum of 1 year experience in long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation is preferred.
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Responsible for assessing patient progress and adjusting treatments accordingly, evaluating outcomes, and modifying services based on patient evaluations and referrals. Provides consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers. Communicates effectively with team members regarding patient progress and treatment plans. Maintains thorough documentation per regulatory standards, participates in meetings and training, and supervises occupational therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, or students as needed. Must adhere to practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during practice.
