Description
Job Summary:
Xray Technologist in radiology at a healthcare facility. This position involves performing general radiologic imaging studies in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency room settings. The role requires flexibility in scheduling and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
Job Details:
- Certification Requirements: ARRT, BLS; minimum 1-year experience; location requires at least 25 miles from the facility; schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include operating imaging equipment such as Philips x-ray units and Fuji portable systems, performing various imaging procedures including ortho, chest, angiography, fluoro, swallow studies, IVPs, and HSTs, and covering outpatient, inpatient, and ER areas.
- Candidates must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment with flexibility for varied start times including weekday 8 and 10-hour shifts, weekend 12 and 13-hour shifts, and a 7 on 7 off schedule.
- Additional information: No radiologist in-house 24/7; on-call after hours until midnight; orientation period of 1-2 weeks with a preceptor.
- The role involves working with Epic and PACS systems, and using department-specific equipment including Philips x-ray and Fuji portable units.
- Candidates should be proactive, reliable, and able to maintain a positive attitude while ensuring high-quality patient care.
