Job Summary
Ultrasonographer General, located at a community hospital, is responsible for performing general diagnostic ultrasound procedures. The role involves providing imaging services primarily for geriatric and adult patient populations, with limited pediatric workload, in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Job Details
- Certifications: ARDMS ABD certification required; GYN/RVT/OB certification a plus.
- Education: Passing of an accredited Sonography program with at least board certification through ARDMS with ABD.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years as a staff sonographer for general diagnostic ultrasound.
- Location Requirements: Must be able to work day shift from 3PM to 11PM, with a schedule of 40 hours per week.
- Schedule: Shift Time: Days; Shift Hours: 10; Minimum Hours Per Week: 40.
- Responsibilities include performing abdominal imaging, biophysical profiles for obstetrics, and thyroid studies, utilizing Mindray Resona 7 and GE Fortis equipment.
- Personnel must understand the importance of call responsibilities; lodging is available for call nights.
- Additional notes: Candidate should be easy-going, competent, and comfortable working in a community hospital with a tight-knit team.
