The location is Wausau, Wisconsin. This Nuclear Medicine Technologist position involves providing specialized imaging services in a healthcare facility. The role requires operating advanced equipment and performing a variety of general Nuclear Medicine studies to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

Job Details

  • Position: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Specialty: NUC (Nuclear Medicine)
  • Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts, 8 hours per shift, starting between 6 and 8 am with occasional flexibility, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Associates' degree or certification, BLS (Basic Life Support), ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) or CNMT (Computed Nuclear Medicine Technologist) certification, 1-2 years of experience preferred. Knowledge of doing SPECT/CT and/or PET/CT required; Siemens equipment experience a plus, with training provided.
  • Responsibilities include performing general Nuclear Medicine examinations such as bone scans, renal scans, Hida, gastric emptying, thyroid, lymphoscintigraphy, cardiac, and parathyroid studies, using equipment like Symbia Evo SPECT, Symbia Intevo SPECT/CT, Capintec Thyroid probe, and Siemens Biograph Vision X PET/CT Scanner.
  • Experience with EPIC and Merge PACS for charting is required; familiarity with Siemens equipment is advantageous.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The traveler must be outside 50 miles from the facility, with guaranteed hours of 40 per week, except during holidays or low census periods when on-call or low census hours may apply. Call backs minimum of 2 hours may occur, with potential for on-call assignments. During Flu Season, vaccine non-compliance requires mask-wearing per policy.
