Job Summary
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist (CCL Tech) in Olympia, WA. This role involves supporting interventional and diagnostic procedures within the catheterization lab, including complex cases such as interventional cardiology, IR procedures, and hybrid operations. The position offers an opportunity to work with a dedicated team in a facility equipped with advanced technology and a diverse patient caseload.
Job Details
- Position: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist (CCL Tech)
- Location: Olympia, WA
- Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (0630-1700), with a self-scheduling cycle and minor adjustments to fill gaps, totaling 40 hours per week
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT or RCIS certification, State License for RTs
- Required Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Cath Lab, with preferred experience in IR procedures and hybrid operations
- Clinical Responsibilities: Read/interpret EKGs, circulate, sedate, transport, and monitor cases if qualified
- Additional Requirements: Familiarity with cardiac catheterization and IR procedures such as coil embolizations, nephrostomies, central lines, ports, G/J tubes, IVC filters, dialysis catheters, thrombolytic procedures, and support during biopsies
- Schedule Details: 10-hour shifts, 1-2 call shifts during weekdays, 1 weekend per month with a 30-minute response time, call only on holidays (every other holiday), on-call support on a 24/7 basis with team coverage of 2 RNs and 2 RTs
- Support within Department: Case scheduling, charge nurse or lead tech support, phlebotomy services available 24/7, IR and cardiologist coverage during the day, on-call support at night
- Equipment and Technology: EMR (EPIC), IV Pump (Alaris), Pyxis Med Dispensing, Merge Hemodynamic Monitoring, GE C-arms, MedRad Injectors, support for float staff not applicable
- Orientation: MHS NEO orientation provided; IR experience candidates receive approximately one week of orientation, others may have additional orientation time as needed
- Additional Notes: Scrubs and lead provided, extended sizing available, parking lot onsite free of charge.
