Description
Job Summary
Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) Alaska. This acute care occupational therapy position involves providing inpatient rehabilitation services at a Magnet Facility, Level II Trauma. The role requires flexibility to float within scope to meet facility needs and supports adult and geriatric patient populations.
Job Details
- Certifications required: BLS, NBCOT, AK Occupational Therapist License
- Education Requirements: Relevant degree in occupational therapy
- Valid State License: Yes, license must be in hand at submission
- Years of Experience: 1 year required
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week
- Travel Experience Required: No
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with acute care, adult rehabilitation, and neurological conditions such as CVA, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury; ability to evaluate and develop plan of care for complex patients; proficiency with Epic charting system.
- Responsibilities include assessment, evaluation, discharge planning, patient/family education, and handling a variety of clinical conditions including amputee care, arthritis, nerve injury, Parkinsons disease, and others.
- Candidates must be willing to work 2 weekend days per month and accommodate scheduled time off approved on an individual basis.
- Submission Requirements: Must include responses to questions regarding previous work at a Providence facility and provide two references covering the past year.
