Job Summary
X-ray Technologist Portland, OR. This healthcare professional will operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images of designated body parts as ordered by physicians. The role involves positioning patients, adjusting equipment, and ensuring safety protocols are followed during imaging procedures.
Job Details
- Education and Work Experience: Associate's Degree in radiologic technology; required certifications include American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) and Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Radiologic Technologist License. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor is required.
- Schedule: Days shift, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Essential Functions: Performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation, explains procedures to patients, prepares and positions equipment, ensures patient safety, produces diagnostic images, documents exam information, reports to physicians, verifies exams on PACS, and performs other related duties.
- Certifications: Authorized certifications including ARRT-R, OBMI Radiologic Technologist License, and BLS.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must meet all education, licensing, and certification criteria outlined above to be considered.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
