Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Location: unspecified. This role involves providing respiratory care for pediatric patients in an acute care setting. The position requires delivering high-quality care, performing evaluations, and maintaining care plans for all patient populations under the supervision of healthcare professionals.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Provides respiratory care to pediatric patients across a hospital unit, utilizing equipment such as Servo ventilators, BIPAP, Airvo, MetNeb, Neo-Tee, and conducting procedures involving adult intubation skills. Utilizes Epic electronic charting system for documentation and supply management. Performs evaluations on patients and adjusts care accordingly. Participates in team approach to distressed newborn and C-section arena care.
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certificate, and licensed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC. Education requirements include a minimum of 2 years of experience. Location requirements involve working in an acute care environment. No minimum years of experience required.
  • Schedule: Shift is 12 hours, with shifts from 5am to 5pm or 5pm to 5am. Every other weekend shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: Will not work alone, call when needed. No floating to other units/departments. Orientation includes up to 3 weeks of department-specific training following EPIC training, with completion contingent on preceptor check-offs.
