Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Location: unspecified. This position involves providing respiratory care to a diverse patient population within a healthcare facility. The role requires specialized skills in pediatric, neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and adult emergency room and critical care settings, with responsibilities including diagnostic evaluation, management, education, and rehabilitation of patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies.
Job Details
- Position Description: The Respiratory Therapist administers respiratory care by prescription of the physician. Responsibilities include the diagnostic evaluation (not limited to obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens, interpreting physiologic data, performing tests and studies of the cardiopulmonary system), management, education, and rehabilitation and care of the patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system. The practice includes the application of technology and the use of treatment protocols across all care sites, including but not limited to the application and monitoring of medical gases and environmental control systems, mechanical ventilatory support, artificial airway care, bronchopulmonary hygiene, pharmacological agents related to respiratory care procedures, cardiopulmonary rehab, hemodynamic cardiovascular support.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications: RRT License, ACLS, BLS; Education Requirements: not specified; Location Requirements: candidates must live at least 50 miles away; Years of Experience: 0 years required.
- Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Must have pediatric, NICU, and adult ER & critical care experience. Do not submit without this experience. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field.
