Description
Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position available in the healthcare provider organization. The role involves providing respiratory care to pediatric, adult, and critical care patients in a hospital setting, with a focus on emergency, neonatal, and intensive care units. The position requires night shifts and is suited for professionals with pediatric, neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), emergency room (ER), and critical care experience.
Job Details:
- Certifications: RRT License required; ACLS and BLS required
- Education and Experience: 0 years of experience minimum; must have pediatric, NICU, and adult ER & critical care experience
- Location Requirements: Must live at least 50 miles away from the facility
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Responsibilities include administering respiratory care by prescription, diagnostic evaluation, management, patient education, and rehabilitation of patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities
- Practice includes application of technology and treatment protocols across care sites, management of medical gases, mechanical ventilatory support, artificial airway care, bronchopulmonary hygiene, pharmacological interventions, cardiopulmonary rehab, and hemodynamic support
