Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a temporary assignment in the Nuclear Medicine (NUC) specialty. This role involves performing a variety of imaging procedures using specialized equipment, ensuring radiation safety, and providing quality patient care within a full-service radiology and nuclear medicine department.
Job Details
- Position Description: Candidates will be sent to the facility for consideration.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in Nuclear Medicine issued by the State of California (CNMT), Certification in Nuclear Medicine/Radiological Technology issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-NM), and/or certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB); BLS (AHA); valid California license; minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a full-service Radiology/Nuclear Medicine Department; knowledge of medical terminology; computer skills for operating RIS/HIS/PACS; radiation safety courses; ability to perform and communicate complex procedures.
- Schedule: Dayshift, 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The position involves performing imaging studies such as Myocardial Perfusion, Hepatobiliary System Scan, Renal Imaging with Lasix, WBC Local Inflammation Procedures, Bone Scan Imaging, Lung Perfusion & Ventilation Scans, and Thyroid Uptake and Scans. Outpatient IV start requirements and scheduled advance shifts are included. The current schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with 1-2 weekend shifts per month and potential weekend call as needed. The department uses Siemens Symbia and Philips Forte systems, and the Cerner EMR and Merge PACS.
