Respiratory Therapist (Registered) Colorado Springs, CO. This position involves providing specialized respiratory care to pediatric patients within a small unit that requires a broad skill set, including NICU and Emergency Department experience, for a 13-week assignment. The role emphasizes multidisciplinary teamwork and supporting where needed across various pediatric care areas.
Job Details
- Position Description: Respiratory Therapist assignment at a pediatric-focused care unit, with experience in NICU (Level III or IV) and Emergency Department settings preferred.
- Required Qualifications: Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Cardiopulmonary, minimum 2 years of pediatric experience, licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Schedule: 12-Hour Night shifts, from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, requiring a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Preferred Qualifications: Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty (NPS) certification, previous travel experience, and NICU experience in Level III or IV settings.
- Additional Information: The environment is a small unit with a diverse skill mix, supporting up to 6 ventilated patients in NICU. Collaboration within a multidisciplinary team is essential. The role may involve floating to support where needed and working within a 50-mile radius of the assigned facility.
- Submission Requirements: Exemption form for vaccine exemptions must be included with submission. No RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment.
