Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Respiratory Therapist specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) care at a facility in Loma Linda, California. This role involves providing advanced respiratory care for Pediatric patients, with preferred experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The Respiratory Therapist will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, document patient care, and be familiar with electronic health records.

Job Details

• Position: Respiratory Therapist - ICU
• Location: Loma Linda, California
• Required Qualifications: California Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications; minimum 1 year of experience in Pediatric and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) settings.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Administers inhaled specialty gases such as heliox and inhaled nitric oxide
• Performs diagnostic procedures including blood gases, pulmonary function tests, and transcutaneous monitoring
• Conducts basic and advanced respiratory assessments
• Administers therapeutic procedures including mechanical ventilation, bronchial hygiene, aerosol and humidification therapy, airway care, oxygen therapy, and resuscitation
• Documents age-specific care plans, assessments, interventions, and patient responses within the electronic medical record system
• Should be familiar with electronic health records (EPIC)
• No float rotation is required
