Job Summary
Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) Location: Alaska. This 13-week assignment involves providing acute care and skilled nursing services within a magnet-designated facility. The role requires delivering comprehensive inpatient occupational therapy to adult and geriatric patients, with a focus on functional assessments, treatment planning, and patient education.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: BLS certification; NBCOT certification; valid AK Occupational Therapist license; at least 1 year of experience; current license or pending license accepted.
- Schedule: Days shift, 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
- Responsibilities: Deliver inpatient occupational therapy services including evaluation, treatment plan development, patient and family education, and discharge planning. Care for adult and geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses including neurological, orthopedic, and cognitive conditions.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with acute care, adaptive equipment, assessment, discharge planning, and charting using Epic system.
- Additional Information: Clinician will float within scope as needed; on-call required; weekends required (2 per month); open to accommodating block schedule; candidates must be at least 50 miles from the facility; references covering a 1-year period required. Candidates must include responses regarding previous work at similar facilities in their application.
