Job Summary:
Pharmacist Inpatient (PHARM IP) Location unspecified. This role involves providing inpatient pharmacy services within the organization, primarily focusing on sterile compounding, oncology infusion, and medication management for a diverse patient population including NICU, pediatric, adult, geriatric, and oncology cases. The position requires adherence to clinical protocols and collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Job Details:

Position Description: Unit pharmacy beds include 267 inpatient and 100 outpatient. Certification requirements include BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support). Experience in oncology infusion centers and sterile compounding is preferred; no new graduates are considered. California Pharmacist license is required.
Schedule: Rotating shifts with varied start times of 5:00 AM, 7:30 AM, and 10:00 AM, three shifts per week with 10 hours each, totaling 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid California Pharmacist license, BLS and ACLS Certifications, minimum of 2 years of experience in an inpatient pharmacy setting, experience in oncology infusion centers preferred, sterile compounding experience desired.
Preferred Qualifications: Pharmacy residency or BCPS (Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist), experience in oncology infusion centers.
Additional Information: The pharmacy operates 24/7, with an EMR system (Cerner) and Omnicell for dispensing cabinets. The role involves working in a hospital setting with medication management for various patient populations, including NICU, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. The hospital has a level 2 trauma designation, and the pharmacy team provides inpatient coverage across all shifts.
