Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist (RT PEDS) Location: Not specified. This position involves providing specialized respiratory care primarily for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department settings. The role requires ventilatory skills, independent work capability, and at least two years of experience in the respiratory therapy specialty.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, Experience, Location, and Years of Experience: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) verification. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty required.
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, with day shifts from 5:45 AM to 6:15 AM and alternating night shifts. Minimum of 36 hours per week, including every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed.
• Additional Information: Inpatient responsibilities include ventilator management, arterial blood gas (ABG) draws, use of CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, nebulizers, MDIs, and airway clearance techniques. Outpatient tasks involve setting up nocturnal pulse oximetry and blood gases. The team works collaboratively, with no designated supervisor or charge RT, and managers available 24/7 on call. Optional extra shifts are available to accommodate vacation requests.
• Other Details: In-house daytime hospitalist or intensivist; in-depth department orientation (2-3 days); no specific scrub color required; equipment includes Hamilton Medical vents, ResMed CPAP/BiPAP, Masimo pulse oximeters, and GEM5000 ABG analyzer.
• Submission Requirements: Licensure to submit required.
