Job Summary
Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) Location: Not specified. This role involves planning, organizing, developing, and supervising Occupational Therapy treatment in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines. The Occupational Therapist promotes patient safety and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to deliver superior care and discharge planning in a patient-focused environment.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Valid, current State license; BLS certification; Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week. Experience requirement: 0 years.
- Assesses patients level of functioning upon physician orders and plans appropriate treatment based on assessment.
- Participates in multidisciplinary team processes and discharge planning, including patient education and adaptive equipment recommendations.
- Completes documentation per departmental policies, including initial evaluation, daily progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Supervises Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and students in applying occupational therapy techniques, assisting with orientation and supervising staff or students competently.
- Demonstrates initiative in team collaboration, providing patient-centered care, and maintaining safety and confidentiality standards.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
