Job Summary
Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) Location: unspecified. This position involves evaluating and treating adult and pediatric patients utilizing occupational therapy modalities. The role includes setting measurable goals, establishing treatment programs, performing diagnostic testing, fabricating adaptive equipment, and documenting patient care effectively.

Position Description:
Responsible for evaluating new patients, establishing treatment plans, administering diagnostic testing, and providing treatment procedures. Includes fabricating adaptive equipment and adapting therapy techniques to meet individual patient needs. Re-evaluates patients regularly and modifies treatment plans accordingly. Provides thorough documentation of patient care and communicates effectively with medical and allied health personnel. Offers patient and family education on therapeutic procedures and maintains occupational therapy equipment and supplies. Participates in clinical instruction, staff training, meetings, and professional development activities. Maintains daily statistical records and performs other related duties as assigned to ensure quality patient care. The schedule is dayshift, working 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. -
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution, licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, current BLS certification, and ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. -
Preferred Qualifications:
Documentation of Specialist Certification, experience in inpatient clinical settings, and ability to serve as a clinical resource and assist in supervision and program development. -
Additional Information:
Serves as a clinical resource and assists management in planning, developing, and supervising the clinical specialty area. Participates in training new personnel and clinical instruction of Occupational Therapy students as requested.
