Respiratory Therapist PEDS Nights 36 hours/week starting 10/26/2026 for a 6-week contract. This role involves providing high-quality respiratory care, including invasive and non-invasive ventilation, pulmonary function testing, and patient education. The position offers valuable clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy, with certification as a Respiratory Therapist Registered, and a minimum of 0 years of experience required.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Role entails delivering comprehensive respiratory treatments, operating ventilatory equipment, monitoring patient status through oximetry and capnography, performing chest physiotherapy, suctioning, and managing airway care, including tracheostomy and endotracheal tube procedures.
- Performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to BLS and ACLS guidelines and assists with procedures such as bronchoscopy and chest tube placement.
- Records treatments, responses, and patient assessments accurately, maintaining proper documentation and communication with the healthcare team.
- Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots ventilatory equipment, ensuring safety and compliance with policies.
- Performs arterial puncture, pulmonary function tests, and reviews chest x-rays as per protocol, assisting in critical patient assessments.
- Performs additional duties as assigned, supporting overall respiratory care services.
