• Clinical responsibilities include operating ventilatory equipment (invasive and non-invasive), administering medications via nebulizer, performing chest physiotherapy, suctioning, and conducting pulmonary function tests.
• Performs routine review of chest x-rays, EKGs, and arrhythmia recognition, alongside specific procedures such as tracheostomy care, arterial puncture, and assisting with advanced procedures like bronchoscopy or chest tube placement.
• Ensures equipment functionality and maintenance, records treatments and responses, and communicates effectively with physicians regarding therapy outcomes.
• Provides CPR according to BLS and ACLS guidelines.
• Assists with laboratory testing phases as per policy, including specimen handling and quality control.
• Performs endotracheal tube insertion/removal and manages mechanical ventilation setups.
• Records all treatment data accurately and maintains compliance with hospital policies.
