Interventional Radiology (IR) Technician in Fargo, North Dakota. This position involves providing high-quality imaging and performing sophisticated interventional procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment. The role supports patient care through technical expertise in vascular and diagnostic procedures, ensuring safety and efficiency.

Job Details

  • Location: Fargo, North Dakota

  • Position Description: Provides high quality images, including sophisticated special procedures, through operation of specialized equipment to ensure optimal clarity for physician diagnosis and minimal patient discomfort and radiation exposure. Performs vascular procedures such as angiograms, biopsies, drainages, tube placements, injections, paracentesis, thoracentesis, thrombectomy, embolizations, endovascular procedures, central lines, and dialysis catheters. Adheres to safety and infection control policies. Works well with all age groups, demonstrating extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes, medical terminology, and billing and coding.
  • Certifications & Experience: BLS, ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), NDMIRT (North Dakota Medical Imaging Radiologic Technologist), with minimum 1 year of experience in an Interventional Radiology setting.
  • Schedule: 10-hour shifts, starting from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with up to 3 call shifts during the week (5:30 PM to 7:00 AM), every 3-4th weekend (Friday 5:30 PM to Monday 7:00 AM).
  • Additional Information: Willing to float between two hospitals in Fargo, with a 2-week orientation program that may be shortened based on prior validation. Applicants must send fingerprints to the appropriate licensing board. The position may require working a flexible schedule and providing after-hour call coverage.
