Description
Job Summary:
Xray Technologist, located at the healthcare providers orthopedic and sports medicine hospital, will perform diagnostic imaging examinations on patients, including outpatients, inpatients, and urgent care patients. The role involves operating various c-arm equipment and mobile x-ray units within the OR and urgent care center, ensuring high-quality images for clinical use.
Job Details:
- Certifications, Education, Degree, Location, and Experience Requirements: Active ARRT certification in good standing, active ND state license or willingness to apply, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, minimum of 2 years of recent related work experience.
- Schedule: Varying weekday shifts including 8-hour day shifts with start times ranging from 5:30 AM to 8:30 AM, with some evening shifts from 12 PM to 8:30 PM, and rotating weekends and call. Weekend hours are 8 AM to 5:30 PM or until urgent care patients are seen; call hours are weekdays from 5 PM to 7 AM and 24-hour coverage on weekends.
- Responsibilities include ensuring accurate patient positioning, conducting image operations per provider requests, implementing radiation safety practices, and delivering high-quality diagnostic images.
- Equipment utilized includes Carestream Ascend, Phillips General Room with Carestream DRX, GE mobile units, and various c-arms such as OEC, Phillips, and Siemens.
- The technologist will be paired with a preceptor during a two-day orientation to complete training on equipment, protocols, and policies, with the length tailored to experience.
- Support from an on-call technologist is available during independent working hours.
- Must send all licensing documentation correctly and note prior employment with Sanford Health in submissions.
