Job Summary
Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Tuolumne County This position involves administering radiopharmaceuticals intravenously for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes using radioisotope equipment. The role requires ensuring procedure quality control, coordinating patient flow, and performing screening procedures to support diagnostic interpretation.

Job Details

  • Education and Work Experience: Diploma/certificate from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine required; Bachelors Degree in nuclear medicine technology or equivalent preferred. Valid State Nuclear Medicine License required in California and Hawaii. Certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine or by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist is required in California and Oregon. Venipuncture certification is required in California and Hawaii.
  • Licensing and Certification: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or National Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) required. Venipuncture (IV) certification required.
  • Essential Functions: Prepares, administers, and measures radioactive isotopes for diagnostic, therapeutic, and tracer studies. Calculates doses, administers intravenous injections, performs blood studies, and conducts screening procedures for diagnostic purposes. Documents all pertinent information and communicates preparation instructions to patients. Executes laboratory techniques and performs other duties as assigned.
  • Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
