Description

Job Summary
PolySomnographer in a healthcare facility located in a clinic setting off campus from the main hospital. This role involves performing diagnostic sleep testing, including PAP therapy titrations, with a focus on patient check-in, room setup, patient hookup, charting, and equipment cleaning. The position offers a dynamic night shift schedule with rotating hours and floating to different units/departments.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Unit notes include performing diagnostic sleep tests, PAP therapy titrations, patient check-in, room setup, patient hookup, charting, and equipment cleaning. Equipment utilized includes computerized charting systems, Natus XLTech Sleep Works, and ResMed S9 Devices.
  • Required Qualifications: Certified as a Sleep Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of sleep tech training and experience; valid BLS certification required.
  • Schedule: Night shifts (Sunday-Thursday), 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Shifts may include split shifts and will not always be consecutive. No call is required, and employees will not work alone.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC charting system is beneficial.
  • Additional Information: Located in a secured outpatient clinic with flat lot parking immediately outside. No cafeteria available. Patient-to-tech ratio is 2:1 unless patients are younger than 3 years old, then 1:1. Limited scoring during data collection, with orientation including modified electronic medical record training and one shift of peer onboarding.
